What to take camping- The beginners guide

Are you totally new to camping or backpacking, and don't know where to start? Do you want the answers to questions like, what to take camping, or what are my backpacking essentials? or even simpler questions like how do I write a backpacking list?

You can generally spot newbie campers, as they are the ones that will turn up with an articulated lorry full of equipment that they would never use in a million years whilst on their camping trip. They arrive at the campsite in the dark and it takes them about 4 hours to pitch a tent. They then decide to try to get a campfire lit so that they can have some food, only to realise that they had forgotten the matches or fire-starters. So they go to bed, cold tired and hungry. Not a good start for their very first camping experience. It's probably put them off for life.

If you had the right guidance for your upcomming camping or backpacking trip from, how to compose a camping equipment list, to checklists for backpacking. If you knew where to look to buy the right equipment, and to only take what you needed on your trip. This would probably be a really great help, wouldn't it?

The beginners guide to camping, just might be the answer.

Camping or backapacking can be a wonderful experience. To be sleeping out under the stars with nothing for miles around, other than a few birds and animals, makes it quite humbling. 1. I can relate to being the newbie who arrived late when it was dark. Worse than that it was raining, lol. Got out of work late and with a drive of several hours to the site, it just couldn't be helped. But i got my tent up in less than five minutes, stayed dry and had a wonderful stay.
